First Saturday Stand Up Comedy

Chad Neace is presenting a night of #comedy at Santa Monica Theatre. This is a monthly series on the first Saturday of every month. You will see Hollywood Comic’s live. There are a variety of people and funny stories to be told. Below is our Standup acts for August 6th:

Host: Chad Neace

Chad Neace (Pirate Sly) is excited to be part of The Pirate and the Princess. He was recently in the staged reading of Guns & God as Levi and the radio host. His most notable works have been as the face for Verizon 4G LTE, Premiered in the “Musical Moonlight Madness” at Santa Monica Playhouse, starred in short films “Women Problems” and “Rooming with Big G”, and is currently the Artistic Director of Santa Monica Theatre.


Graham Currin
Graham Currin

Graham Currin “The Lord of the Fives”:
Based out of LA, Graham got his start 10 years ago emceeing fundraisers and hosting TV shows while at Virginia Tech. Now he performs with great acts like Josh Blue ComedyJudah Friedlander, and Godfrey in comedy clubs across the country from the Dc Improv to the Comedy Store, Sunset blvd in LA. He’s also been a writer for Warner Brothers and Fox StudiosSurviving Jack starring Law & Order’s Chris Meloni and Rachel Harris from The Hangover. Graham’s performed at the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival and the The World Series of Comedy, performed improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre – Los Angeles, and made appearances on DCTV’s Capitol Comedy Connection and Comedy Time TV.


Nancy Bellany

Nancy Bellany:
From Comedy CentralComic View and Last Comic Standing throws shade and works out your belly with laugh-crunching curls. After putting two out of three kids in college on academic scholarships, Nancy Bellany decided to go back to her first love…comedy! Born and raised in New York City, Nancy was always making people laugh and decided at an early age.

Zac Elk

Zac Elk:
Young L.A. native preforming #standup #comedy for over three years. The jokes and stories he tells are based off of the bizarre scenarios he has been placed in – such as dealing with the subtle racism of being Arab and working at a Republican radio station, or how he had a long distance relationship with a psychic from back east. Zac is also a co-host of a subculture radio show called “PlugOneTwo,” to which you can follow on or on Twitter under PlugOneTwo.


Dave Gregory

Dave Gregory:
LA Based #standup #comedian. Dave has a substantial social media presence. He performs all over the nation. He mainly talks about his health and his family in his comedy. From time to time he plays guitar and sings parodies and original comedy songs.

Laura Prangley


Laura Prangley:
Currently lives in Los Angeles, can be seen on truTV‘s Friends of the People and Comedy Central‘s Inside Amy Schumer. For videos check out:


Steve Hernandez

Steve Hernandez:
Steve Hernandez is a stand-up comedian born and bred in Los Angeles. He has performed all across the country from Riot L.A. Comedy Festival to the New Orleans Comedy. Steve is the founder of Chatterbox Comedy Night, the Best Bar Show in L.A.

That is an amazing Line Up, am I right? We look forward to seeing you at this private black box theatre. This is an experience like no other on Ocean Ave in Santa Monica.

Please feel free to bring your favorite beverages and some to share. Show contribute is $10. The proceeds go back to the theatre space.

Please arrive at 7:30 to say ‘Hello’ before the show starts. The show will start at dusk.

Meter parking spaces on Ocean, Main, and Olympic.

Santa Monica Place Structure 8: a close walk with the first 90 minutes free $1 for the next hour.

If you are feeling a little Flush, there is a parking structure under 1725 Ocean Ave for a higher price.

Many folks like to Uber or Lyft

Best of all skip the parking and take the Metro Light Rail! It is only a few blocks away.
