Steve Izant is delighted to read the part of Capulet in Romeo and Juliet with the Santa Monica Theatre. His debut at SMT was Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing. He has acted in small, independent movie productions that no one has ever seen, regional commercials that have been seen and has been a local, cable TV talk show host in Baltimore. His first love, however, is the immediacy of theatre. His most recent roles were Mr. Manningham in Angel Street with the Lakeside Players in Lake Arrowhead. Other recent roles include, Deputy File in the The Rainmaker, Carl in Bus Stop, Mike Wallace in “Frost/Nixon,” and Dr. Carelli in Agatha Christie’s “Black Coffee.” He lives in Redondo Beach with his very supportive wife, Susan, and two adorable, but indifferent cats that have no idea who he is.
