Chad Neace (Founder of SMT) is excited to bring his art to the community of Santa Monica. He is part of the current production of The Pirate and the Princess, Short Play Nights, and Comedy Nights. He was recently in the staged reading of Guns & God as Levi and the radio host. His most notable works have been as the face for Verizon LTE, Premiered in the “Musical Moonlight Madness” at Santa Monica Playhouse, starred in short films “Women Problems” and “Rooming with Big G”, and is currently the Artistic Director of Santa Monica Theatre.

A graduate from the California State University, Los Angeles theater/film/TV MFA Tamir Mostafa has been busy making short films for the last few years. His comdeic short “We Want Some” is currently touring the film festival circuit. He has been a finalist in several network writing program. Tamir’s plays have been produced in off-off-Broadway venues and clandestine theaters in Los Angeles. “Bro Date” is his second production at Santa Monica Theatre.
KYLE MULLINS (PAUL)
is excited to be part of Bro Date. He trained for 4 years at Images Agency Models & Actors, St. Louis. He has studied at Margie Haber Studio. His most recent work includes a supporting role in the movie “Revival”. He has starred in University of Southern California student films “Say Anything” and “Summer Solstice”, and is currently training at ITA Productions and ActNow!.
An actor from Riverside, CA. He was raised by his mother and father who are of African-American, Irish and Native American descent. Film played an inspirational role early in Shawn life, as the movie Hoosiers peaked his interest in basketball and helped him make it all the way to Division II basketball team after hearing he wouldn’t make the high school team and that he was too short. After an injury forced him to quit basketball then moved to Los Angeles. He honed his craft and started pursuing his career as a full time actor. His television credit includes The Doctors, You Can’t Lick Your Elbow and True Detective. He has a national commercial out now “Wallapop” and he just worked with Fox for a promo. Shawn has studied acting with Saxon Trainor, The Groundlings and currently in Lauren Patrice Nadler Acting Studio‘s master class. Shawn is a true believer that anything is possible and it is always good to give a helping hand and give back. He hopes to use his acting to show people that taking a chance on your dreams is never going to be something you will regret.

is a writer-producer-actor who has produced over 200 hours of broadcast programming for such networks as Discovery, HISTORY and Spike, and has appeared as an actor on such shows as Wild West Tech, Manswers, I (Almost) Got Away With Itand BATTLE OF THE SEXES. He is currently a series regular on the syndicated series DEEP UNDERCOVER, and is also an accomplished songwriter and voiceover artist who has licensed several of his compositions and provided voiceovers to various films, TV series and advertising campaigns.
Award winning journalist turned filmmaker originally from Denver, Colorado brought his talent to Los Angeles in January 2016. This sports fanatic and former Multi-Sport state champion first entered the film industry in 2006 with his debut documentary “Signs of a bias America” won him the “Future Scribe of the year” award in 2006.

grew up in Tampa, Florida. He graduated from Florida State University in 2009 where he majored in Creative Writing and Film. His play ‘Excursions’ was published and performed in 2013 at Theatre Odyssey in Sarasota, FL. In September of 2013, Brandon moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA‘s Professional Program in Screenwriting. Upon graduating from UCLA he has completed a number of screenplays including the film “Collision” which he also Directed in 2014. He has also written for The Doll Web Series and is the creator of the upcoming animated series “Crypta!”

With well over 100 episodic television and film credits, Phil Abrams has had recurring roles on: KINGDOM, The Mindy Project, About a Boy, Parenthood, Grey’s Anatomy, Switched at Birth, Good Luck Charlie to name a few. KINSEY MCLEAN (GAVIN)
A professionally trained Film, TV, and Theater Actor, Jazz Dancer, Tenor Singer, Director, and Producer. He’s studied under the likes of world renowned acting instructors Ivana Chubbuck and Lesly Kahn, attended school at UCLAand the Atlanta Dance Theatre, and sang under the conduction of Robert Shaw (conductor) with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Kinsey received his early instruction under the Atlanta Workshop Playersand has recently been involved with both The Groundlings and UCB Comedy in Los Angeles.
As a child, Kinsey performed the lead role of Winthrop in “The Music Man” and continued performing in theater until it eventually allowed him to play the parts of both Hamlet and Romeo in William Shakespeare productions with the Atlanta Workshop Players.
In the film world, Kinsey has performed in over 30 episodes of network and cable television shows and is most commonly recognized for his Recurring Guest Star role as Trip on ABCFamily’s Greek where he was a part of all 4 Seasons and which is now being turned into a feature film. He also has had other Guest Star and Recurring Roles including parts on CBS’s NCIS: Los Angeles, FX’s Justifiedand most recently NBC’s Aquarius. He can be seen in over a dozen films including Marvel’s Thor as well as the independent film hit “Take Care” on which he was also a producer. In addition, he has been featured in over 20 national and regional television and radio commercials. Currently, Kinsey is performing a lead role on the series “Apartmates” as well as acting, producing, and even directing episodes for the series “Carbone”.

has been writing and producing content since 2011. From writing skits in China to producing stage plays in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Ghana, Emmanuel’s work as an international content creator has been the foundation of his brand: The Traveling Playwright. Adamant about creating work with a social message, Emmanuel inspires his audience to challenge crooked systems in the world like the characters in his stories. Since his early days as a dramatist, Emmanuel has challenged himself to transition into film and television. His films and videos have been honored at several festivals and showcased in Spain, Italy and Jamaica. Emmanuel’s work includes the festival honored comedy Wishful Thinking and the socially conscious three music videos in one short My Life Matters. As he creates more content, Emmanuel plans to continue building an international audience with projects that challenge the world to be what it can be, rather than what it is.
ELIJAH RASHAD REED (MATTHEW)
is young aspiring actor and recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University. Majoring in African American studies, with a minor in Economics, Elijah looks to first purse his acting career, with hopes of being a successful working actor within the business. Beyond acting Elijah enjoys fitness, boxing, reading comic books, and doing his daily duties as a new uncle. Above all Elijah is focused on achieving his goals and becoming a strong role model for his growing nephew.
BRITNEY ORTIZ (FAITH)
is a talented actress on the rise known for the authenticity she transcends in each character she plays. Her acting capabilities have been showcased in the feature in the film Eve of Winter (2016) directed by Nick Vallelonga, an inspirational speaker for women empowerment featured in Documentary addressing sex trafficking in the film California’s Forgotten Children (2015), and a national, commercially known face.

became involved in music, dance, and all things theatrical at a very early age. By day you will find her teaching at California State University, Northridge; but her absolute favorite place to be is on the boards! Tamarah was last seen as Dr. Vivian Bearing in a staged reading of Wit at the Charles Stewart Howard Playhouse at Woodland Hills.

If you are feeling a little flush, there is a parking structure underneath the theatre at 1725 Ocean Ave for a higher price.
As always, you can Uber or Lyft or, Best of all, skip the parking and take the Metro Expo Line! It is just a short stroll to the theatre.
