Phil is delighted to be Friar Lawrence doing this reading of Romeo & Juliet (one of his favorite plays) at the Santa Monica Theatre. After coming to the USA via London and Toronto with a musical about the Beatles at The Ahmanson Theatre in 2013, he decided to stay and has been here ever since! Other credits include Oberon in ‘Shakespeare in Hollywood’ (NEO Ensemble Theatre), Frid in ‘A Little Night Music’ (Garrick Theatre, West End), Henry Higgins in ‘My Fair Lady’ (Cambridge Arts Theatre), Prof. Van Helsing in ‘Dracula’ (The Hackney Empire Theatre), and Courfeyrac in ‘Les Miserables’. On film he played Adolf Hitler in Ken Russell’s ‘A Kitten for Hitler’, and more recently William in ‘Tattooed Love’, with Edy Ganem and Marlon Moreno. Phil also executive directed the recent one act play festival production of NEO Ensemble’s ‘A Street Corner Named Desire’ at The V.S. Theatre.
