, born and raised all over Los Angeles, Anthony Carrillo knew as a young child that he wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Showing a tremendous love for the arts, he decided to follow in the footsteps of his great-great grandfather, Spanish character actor Luis Alberni. In his teens, Anthony began taking drama classes, while performing in various school productions and local community theater. He has also appeared in several Los Angeles fashion shows as a runway model. In 2013, he landed a starring role in the feature film Heavy Makeup, a mystery thriller set in the Hollywood Hills. Heavy Makeup is set to release theatrically in 2015. In addition to acting, Anthony loves art, fashion and music – he is writing and developing a documentary on Luis Alberni and Hollywood’s Golden Age, Janis Joplin and the history of the psychedelic counter-culture of the 1960’s, as well as the Current underground music scene on the West coast. He also is also designing his own fashion line which will launch late 2016. Some of his early designs have been featured at various spaces during Downtown L.A.’s monthly Art Walk and to much success sold out completely. In his spare time, Anthony loves yoga, playing guitar and any unusual instrument he can find, drawing and thrift store shopping. He is vegetarian and also does volunteer work with various animal rescue organizations.
